Pierre Hilson and his team study plant development, in particular the genetic and molecular mechanisms that control organogenesis and embryogenesis initiation in model plant species (Arabidopsis thaliana, Brachypodium distachyon).

 

Since his PhD, P. Hilson has been involved in plant biology research, first at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA), then at the Department of Plant Systems Biology (Ghent University, Belgium). Since 2012, he heads the team Biology of the Cell and Regeneration, at the Institut Jean-Pierre Bourgin (Centre INRA de Versailles-Grignon, France).
