She received her BA degree on Business Administration from Bilkent University, MSc of Marketing from University of Leicester in the UK and PhD degree in Marketing from Yeditepe University-Turkey focusing on Consumer Behavior, and specifically impulse buying tendencies.Itir has over 15 years of work experience. Before joining Elsevier she has worked in the areas of marketing research, policy making, bilateral trade, B2B consultancy projects and worked for Synovate, UK Foreign Office and Danish Trade Council.
