She holds a degree in Mathematics (1986), a master's degree in Mathematics (1988), and a doctorate in Mathematics (1995) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is a Full Professor at the State University of Maringá. Her expertise lies in Analysis, with an emphasis on Partial Differential Equations, primarily focusing on the following topics: stabilization of hyperbolic systems, nonlinear equations, and viscoelastic problems. She served as a consultant for the CAPES Quadrennial Evaluation for the 2017-2020 period.
