Marmara Conference on European Studies
The
European Union Institute of Marmara University is organizing an international
conference, which aims to present an academic discussion platform for EU studies. The theme of this year’s
conference is “Europe under Challenge”, and the conference will be held on November
23-24, 2018 in Istanbul.
Eligible full papers presented at the Conference will be considered for publication in special issues of peer-reviewed Marmara Journal of European Studies and Journal of German-Turkish Studies.

Marmara Conference on European Studies Registration Fee
The registration fee is 85 € (or 100 $)
Payment is required for each attendant in multi-author proceedings.Bank account will be declared after the announcement of acceptances.
Payments should be sent no later than the registration deadline.
Please add a reference (MCES Conference) and your name/surname on the payment order.
The conference fee does not include accomodation and dinners.
The conference fee includes the following:
- registration
-publication of selected articles in one of the Marmara EU Institute Journals
- participant's pack
- welcome reception
- lunch, refreshments and coffee for the conference days

- How long should take my presentation?
Depending on the number of other participants at the panel, each paper presentation should be 15 to 20 minutes long.
- To be able to attend the Conference, do I have to present a paper?
Absolutely not! MCES welcomes attendance by all scholars (conference fee must be paid).
- Is there a limit to the number of papers I can submit?
Yes, there is a limit. You may submit up to two (2) paper proposals.
- Is there a refund policy of the conference?
Unfortunately, no. MCES has a "no refund" policy.
- What does registration fee include?
The MCES registration fee includes the followings: - Conference registration - Participant's pack - Welcome reception - Lunches on 23th and 24th, - Refreshments and coffee for the conference days PS: The conference fee does not include accomodation and dinners.
- Can I present my paper via Skype?
Unfortunately, no. Remote presentations are not acceptable.
- What kind of technical equipment is provided at the Conference?
Each presentation room will be equipped with a projector. However, participants are required to bring their own laptop. Presenters with a slim or a Mac series laptop should bring a VGA converter to supply their own connector.
- Is there any planned social activity?

Unfortunately, MCES is unable to assist with registration, travel or accommodation costs.
